Ohmega / Ticer Technologies

Ohmega / Ticer Technologies

Quantic Ohmega and Quantic Ticer manufacture thin film embedded resistor foils under the brand names OhmegaPly® and TCR®. Thin film resistors act like a resistive “blank slate” which enables design engineers to create innovative, robust, and feature-rich circuitry demanded in modern electronic systems.

The products are widely used across mission critical electronics to remove SMT resistors from the surface of the PCB and embed the resistor elements into signal traces within the layers of the PCB.

Applications include power dividers/combiners, attenuators, pull up/pull down, and termination resistors. They are ideal for R-Cards, frequency select surfaces and low power resistive heaters.

Benefits include form factor and weight reduction, improved signal routing complexity, higher reliability via elimination of solder joints, reduction in EMI, crosstalk, and parasitic interference. The products are stable through thermal excursion and space qualified.

OhmegaPly® and TCR® can be purchased directly as foils, via global laminate and substrate suppliers or through PCB fabricators. OhmegaPly® and TCR® foils utilize standard Grade 3 copper foils as well as VLP foils for use in demanding millimeter wave frequency applications.

Thin film embedded resistor technology from Quantic Electronics have been the trusted go-to resource for embedded resistor innovation for more than 50 years.
